The project seeks to revalue the ashlar quarry as natural-historical heritage. The volumetry responds to the quarry's geometry, is located on the quarry's edge with views of the Misti and Chachani volcanoes in a depression of the quarry's upper level. A vertical circulation is generated between the upper level and the quarry bottom with the building.
The program comprises exhibition halls, audiovisual room, viewpoint, cafeteria, gift shop, administration, storage, restrooms, and surveillance space. The main program is located on the horizontal axis of the volumetry as a continuous quarry viewpoint; while the vertical axis develops the route to the quarry bottom through the staircase and surveillance space.
Finally, the structure is reinforced concrete in ashlar color. Corten steel is also used for carpentry and low partitions in ashlar blocks.
